Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit the Butter Finance website or get in touch with our team.
Effective 01 Jan 2026Updated 21 Jul 2026
The Butter Finance website (the “Site”) is operated by Agile Studios LLC (“we,” “us”), a Delaware limited liability company. Because we work with founders and partners across the GCC and internationally, we apply this policy to a high standard consistent with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and, where relevant, the EU and UK GDPR.
01
What we collect
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you use the Site, this may include:
- Information you give us — your name, email, company, and any details you share when you book a call, submit a form, or email us.
- Information collected automatically — basic usage and device data such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and referral source, gathered through analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 06.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data through the Site, and we ask that you not send it to us unsolicited.
02
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use personal data to respond to your enquiries and schedule calls; to provide and improve the Site; to understand how the Site is used; and to communicate with you about our services where you have asked us to or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so. Our lawful bases are your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies and marketing), the steps needed to respond to your request, and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business. We do not sell your personal data.
03
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly built-in analytics provided through our website platform to understand Site usage in aggregate. We also use, or may in future use, Google Analytics, which sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf. Where analytics rely on non-essential cookies, they run only after you accept them through our cookie banner. You can opt out at any time as described in Section 06.
04
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business — such as hosting, analytics, email, and scheduling providers — and only as needed to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing.
05
International transfers
We are based in the United States and use service providers that may process data in the United States and elsewhere. When we transfer personal data across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with applicable data protection law, including using contractual safeguards with our providers where appropriate.
06
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies needed for the Site to work, and, with your consent, non-essential cookies for analytics and performance. When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the banner settings or by adjusting your browser to refuse or delete cookies. Declining non-essential cookies will not stop you from using the Site.
07
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — for enquiries, typically no longer than needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period — and then delete or anonymise it, unless a longer period is required by law.
08
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and receive a copy of data you provided. To exercise any right, email us at the address below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
09
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address any incident appropriately.
10
Children
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
